The results show that a strong national identity can increase solidarity and togetherness in society, strengthening the inclusive character of the nation. In addition, a strong national identity is also able to become a solid foundation for facing the challenges of multiculturalism by increasing and strengthening the sense of unity among the existing cultural and religious diversity. This research shows that national identity must be strengthened by various parties, both the government and society, as a foundation for building a competitive nation that respects diversity.
