Fraud using credit cards is a hot issue in Indonesia. Even though the use of credit cards is an advancement in the banking sector. This research aims to determine the factors that cause credit card fraud in Indonesia. This research method uses a literature review method where this research explores many sources in answering research questions. The results of this research are that there are two factors that cause credit card crime. Internal factors are factors within the individual (credit card crime perpetrator) such as psychology, gender, age, physical, mental, race and family. There is not much literature that discusses the causes of credit card arrears based on internal factors. So, after the author carried out observations, research and analysis, the internal factors that cause credit card crimes are educational factors, opportunity factors, self-confidence factors and age factors. Meanwhile, external factors are factors outside the individual (credit card crime perpetrators). These external factors are usually rooted in the environment, so that external factors that cause credit card arrears include economic factors and law enforcement factors.
