Abstract

Rechoreography is a redesign of a dance without eliminating the previous dance. Bedhaya Tribuana Rajadewi is a new dance dance that has been recorded and is outside the scope of the palace. The aim of this research is to describe the form and recordeography of the Bedhaya Tribuana Rajadewi Karya Sunawan dance at the Ijo Gringsing Mojokerto Dance Studio. This study uses a qualitative method. The object in this research is Bedhaya Tribuana Rajadewi. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. And data analysis was carried out in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. Data validity uses source triangulation, technical triangulation and time triangulation. The results of this research show that this dance is a work of dance that refers to the bedhaya dance that exists in the palace. However, the choreographer of the Bedhaya Tribuana Rajadewi dance was reworked and packaged again so that the East Javanese style stands out more because this dance discusses the figure of the first female king in the Majapahit Kingdom, namely Tribuana TunggaDewi. The process of producing music also uses East Javanese style. Bedhaya Tribuana Rajadewi is only danced by 8 dancers. 8 is a form of the Surya Majapahit symbol.
