Analisis Konflik Intra Agama dalam Denominasi Keagamaan

Abstract

Interaction is a process that humans as social creatures must go through. Every human being certainly has a variety of differences that can cause conflict, one of which is religious differences. Indonesia has quite a record of cases of religious conflict, especially intra-religious conflict, that is, conflict that occurs within the same religion. The case between Christian church denominations in Cawang occurred in June 2024, this research aims to analyze further the intra-religious cases that occurred and provide possible solutions. The method used in the analysis is literature study by collecting various references related to the topic used as a reference to obtain results. The results of this research found that conflict what occurred between religious denominations was triggered by misunderstandings which continued to lead to violations of the law. A theory that is in line with this conflict problem is Ralf Dahrendorf's conflict theory which says that conflict occurs because of consensus. As a solution, it is necessary to instill the values ​​of religious tolerance and moderation from an early age and carry it out continuously both in the environment and in formal institutions. Instilling the value of tolerance and a good concept of religious moderation will reduce the occurrence of religious conflicts. Through these efforts, social integration will be achieved so as to create a social life that is peaceful, prosperous and mutually supportive in the existing diversity.
