Abstract

The vocalizing method has the meaning of a warm-up method, which is the initial activity before the core activity takes place. Humming and lip trills are one part of vocalizing. The purpose of this research is to explain the implementation of learning and learning outcomes with the vocalizing method of humming and lip trill to train choir vocal techniques at SMP Negeri 42 Surabaya. Rusman suggests that there are three things that include the implementation of learning, namely preliminary activities, core activities, and closing activities. Oemar Hamalik also suggested that there are three things that include learning outcomes, namely knowledge, attitudes, and skills. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The implementation of learning in this study was carried out three times a meeting by studying the material of vocalizing humming and lip trill methods. The learning results of this study can be said that the vocalizing humming and lip trill methods can improve the vocal technique of the choir of students. Based on the research results obtained from the learning outcomes, it can be concluded that the vocalizing humming and lip trill methods are very good for training the vocal techniques of the choir “Spenpatda Voice” SMP Negeri 42 Surabaya
