This research aims to determine to find out the factors that influence students' interest in drum band extracurriculars at SMPN 3 Blitar City. Factors that influence interest according to Winkel are internal factors including motivation, ideals and talent. External factors include parents, teachers, friends, infrastructure and the environment. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research approach. Based on the research results obtained by the author, it can be concluded that students are interested in joining the drum band extracurricular because the drum band extracurricular has complete facilities and infrastructure. However, the internal factor, namely the aspiration indicator, obtained a low score of 63, because extracurricular drum band students at SMPN 3 Blitar City were interested in participating in extracurricular drum band only as a hobby, and were not yet at a consistent stage for sustainability at a higher or professional level.
