TALENT DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES FOR STUDENTS FACING THE SOLO SINGER COMPETITION AT MAN 1 GRESIK IN 2023

Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategy used by MAN 1 Gresik in developing the talents of students to face the PORSENI competition (Sports and Arts Week) solo singer branch. In this study by looking at how MAN 1 Gresik as an Aliyah Madrasah developed the interests and talents of its students to face the solo singer branch of the PORSENI competition. In this study describes a strategy used in the development of students' interests and talents for students who are talented in the field of singers, including the selection system for students by trainers, the system of training forms of trainers with students, as well as the results obtained by students, and also supporting facilities and infrastructure provided which begins with the existence of extracurricular activities. This research uses a qualitative method that emphasizes the observation aspect of the research object by paying more attention to the substance of the observed research object. The results obtained in this study found constructive steps built by the school in fostering students for the development of non-academic achievements, especially in facing the solo singer branch of the PORSENI competition. So it can be concluded that the strategy that has been carried out is able to make the attention of the community. A directed ability of students to present many achievements certainly makes community consideration in assessing the capacity and quality of MAN 1 Gresik school into an educational unit that is quite a lot of interest to the community.
