Analisis Semiotik Novel Garis Waktu Karya Fiersa Besari

Abstract

The formulation of this research is how the semiotic aspects in the novel of Garis Waktu by Fiersa Besari. Meanwhile, the aim of this research is to describe the semiotic aspects in the novel Garis Waktu by Fiersa Besari. The research method used by researchers is a descriptive content analysis design. The population in this research is the novel Garis Waktu by Fiersa Besari, which consists of 211 pages and was published by Media Kita in 2016. The sample in this research is the semiotic aspect in the novel Garis Waktu by Fiersa Besari. The instrument used in this research is researcher himself as an instrument was assisted by a theory book and the novel of Garis Waktu by Fiersa Besari. This research data analysis was carried out using content analysis techniques. The results of this research conclude that the semiotics used in the novel of Garis Waktu by Fiersa Besari are Barthes' semiotics: (1) enigmatic code (hermeneutics), (2) connotative code; (3) symbolic code (4) action code, (5) cultural code such as telling something using examples from the past or legends.
